Lake Powell Medical Center sponsored a Patient Appreciation Event August 14, 2017, with tours, refreshments and door prizes. Lake Powell Medical is one of the ten Canyonlands Healthcare Clinics providing health services to seven rural locations in Arizona.
This event coincides with National Health Center Week, recognizing community health centers across our country and their important work in helping patients access quality health care.
For more than 50 years, community health centers have delivered comprehensive, high-quality preventive and primary health care to patients regardless of their ability to pay. In 1965, the Health Center Program started with just two clinics—today there are nearly 1,400 health centers, which operate approximately 10,400 delivery sites, across the country serving nearly 26 million people.
Community health centers are the provider of choice for essential primary care services for some of the nation’s most vulnerable populations. Health centers provide a medical home to many people facing geographic, linguistic, cultural, and socioeconomic barriers to care.
Lake Powell Medical offers a range of services on a sliding scale fee basis and offers financial program enrollment and eligibility assistance.
