Colon cancer is now the deadliest type of cancer in men younger than 50 years old and the second leading cause of cancer death for women in the same age group, according to a new report from the American Cancer Society. Colorectal cancer cases among adults ages 20-49 is increasing and is estimated to become the leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the United States by 2030.

Screening is the No. 1 way to prevent colorectal cancer, the second deadliest cancer in men and women combined.
If you’re age 45 to 75 years, get screened (tested) regularly for colorectal cancer. If you’re age 76 to 85 years, ask your doctor if you need to continue to get screened.
